About Kevin Saltarelli
Personalized Music Lessons for Every Journey
Hi, I’m Kevin. I’m a musician, composer and teacher based in Guelph and I love helping people make music, whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to take your skills further.
I teach piano, composition, music theory, music production and sound design, along with beginner guitar, bass and ukulele.
Music is a deeply personal form of expression, a creative outlet and a powerful way to connect with yourself and others. I believe lessons should reflect that.
My approach is simple: learn what interests you, make music you enjoy and find your own creative voice. Whether you want to explore a new style, write your own music or simply play for fun, I’ll tailor lessons to what you want to get out of music. My goal is to make lessons practical, encouraging and fun.
My Background
I hold a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Music Composition from Wilfrid Laurier University, where I also studied piano performance and improvisation.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked as a performer, composer, arranger, music director and teacher, bringing all of those experiences into my teaching.
Since 2015, I’ve been the Music Director for the Resilience Project at Family and Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region, working with artists and community partners to create original music programs that build resilience among at-risk youth and other families in the community.
