Personalized Music Lessons for Every Journey

Hi, I’m Kevin Saltarelli, a musician, composer, multi instrumentalist and educator with a passion for helping students discover their creative voice through music. With over two decades of experience in composition, performance, and music production, I offer personalized lessons that go beyond just playing notes. I help students understand the deeper artistry and structure of music. I strive to uncover the musician in all of us and encourage everyone to live a musical life.

My Background

I hold a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Music Composition from Wilfrid Laurier University, where I studied with composers including Dr. Peter Hatch, Linda Catlin Smith, and Cam McKittrick. I also studied piano performance under Dr. Jamie Parker and Dr. Heather Dawn Taves, and further explored improvisation with Dr.Glenn Buhr.

Over the past two decades, I’ve worked as a music director, performer, arranger, and educator, guiding students through their musical journeys — whether they’re learning piano for the first time, writing their own compositions, or refining their production skills.

Since 2015, I have been the Music Director for the Resilience Project at the Family and Children’s Services for the Waterloo Region. This work has involved collaborations with various community partners and artists who work together to provide original programming which builds resilience for at-risk-youth and other families within the region.
