Piano Lessons (Beginner Guitar, Bass, and Ukulele)
Unlock your musical potential with personalized piano lessons tailored to your goals. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I offer expert instruction in classical, rock, and pop styles, as well as improvisation. My teaching approach focuses on:
•Sheet Music & Chart Reading: Learn to read and interpret traditional sheet music, chord charts, and lead sheets. Whether you’re playing from a classical score, a jazz chart, or a pop arrangement, you’ll develop the skills to understand and navigate different musical formats with confidence.
•Technique & Expression: Strong technique is the foundation of great playing. I focus on hand position, finger independance, agility, and control, helping you develop the precision and expressiveness needed for any style. You’ll also learn how to use phrasing, articulation, and dynamics to bring music to life.
•Ear Training & Improvisation: Becoming a great musician isn’t about reading music. Musicians also play by ear and think musically on the spot. My lessons include ear training exercises that sharpen your ability to recognize melodies, harmonies, and rhythms. Improvisation skills will give you the freedom to create your own music and adapt to any musical setting.
•Post-Secondary Preparation: For students looking to pursue music at a higher level, I offer guidance on audition preparation, repertoire selection, and musicianship skills. I have successfully helped students gain acceptance into university and college music programs.
•Introduction to Guitar, Bass and Ukulele: For beginner students looking to get started on Guitar, Bass, or Ukulele, I offer introduction lessons with materials to get you started and playing songs you love quickly.
With a focus on developing well-rounded musicians, my lessons provide the skills and confidence needed to play in any setting — whether on stage, in the studio, or at home.

FAQ
What do I need to start online music lessons?
You’ll need a reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet, and a webcam with a microphone. For piano lessons, a digital or acoustic piano is required. For best results, a computer and a usb microphone are recommended.
How do online lessons work?
Lessons are conducted via video call using Zoom. You’ll receive real-time instruction, demonstrations, and feedback just like in-person lessons.
Are online lessons as effective as in-person lessons?
Yes! Many students find online lessons just as effective because they can learn from the comfort of their own space with personalized instruction. Being able to make requests to have portions of the lessons recorded ensures that you can go back later to our sessions to remember what you have learned.
How long are lessons?
Lessons are typically 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on your goals and experience level. Most Clients sign up for weekly lessons, but bi-weekly lessons are also an effective option.
Do you offer a trial lesson?
Yes! A free trial lesson is a great way to see if online lessons are a good fit. This also gives us time to sort out any technical issues before we begin our online sessions.
Will I get sheet music or lesson materials?
Yes! Materials will be provided digitally, or recommendations will be made for books and resources. Video demonstrations during lessons can also be recorded to be viewed later.
Can parents observe their child’s lessons?
Yes, parents are welcome to observe, especially for younger students. There is also the added benefit of learning what your child is working on so that you may be of assistance in-between lessons.
What is your cancellation policy?
Lessons can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Life is unpredictable so sometimes last minute cancellations are unavoidable. For the rare time that this happens a make up lesson will be offered. I want you to receive every lesson that you pay for. No-shows will be charged.
